A former ESPN SportsCenter anchor team will be reunited August 5, on ESPN Radio when Keith Olbermann joins The Dan Patrick Show as a regularly scheduled guest co-host Fridays at 2 p.m. ET.

Olbermann's weekly one-hour appearances follow several guest appearances on the show during which the chemistry he and Patrick achieved during their five-year run as co-hosts of the then-11:30 p.m. SportsCenter was evident.

"We are in the business of providing the best sports information, opinion, analysis and entertainment to our listeners, and we feel Dan and Keith together will project into one of the most entertaining hours of talk radio in the country," said Traug Keller, senior vice president, ESPN Radio & ESPN Deportes.

The Dan Patrick Show on ESPN Radio (1-4 p.m. ET Monday-Friday) is aired on 339 stations - including 8 of the Top 10 markets -- covering 99% of the country. It debuted September 13, 1999, and with the March 2004 addition of WXYT in Detroit, reached the 300-affiliate mark in less than five years-an unprecedented achievement in the history of sports talk radio.

Olbermann helped launch ESPN Radio in January 1992 as a weekend co-host until June 1993. In March 1992 he became co-anchor of the then-11:30 p.m. SportsCenter until June 1997. He was also the opening voice of ESPN2's debut October 1, 1993 as an original SportsNight anchor. He currently hosts MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann (M-F 8-9 p.m. ET).

Patrick now anchors ESPN's 6 p.m. SportsCenter Monday through Friday, and writes for ESPN The Magazine, authoring 'Outtakes. In January 2000, he was named National Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA), just the second cable commentator to receive the honor, and has received a Sports Emmy Award in the Studio Host category.
