The Dan Patrick Show: Audio Archive

February 10, 2010

  Ray Lewis, Ravens
An animated Lewis talks about how everyone has an opinion but the only one that matters is God. He'd tell Michael Vick to stop trying to get people to like him. Don't trust man, trust God. He has the same energy on the field. Lewis thinks he's played in the wrong era because there are too many rules now. The quarterback should be treated like everyone else. If it's a QB driven league, then why is he playing?

  Peter Gammons, MLB
After MLB announced that it will not suspend Jason Giambi, Dan and the Dali Llama (Hall of Famer) debated if a new precedent will prevent Bud Selig from suspending Barry Bonds, Gary Sheffield or any others under suspicion.

  John Elway, NFL HOF
As Dan cleans out his office, he called on No. 7 to see what it was like to clean out his locker one final time (ironically, Elway actually didn't clean out his own locker). Elway also shared his thoughts on Michael Vick's off-the-field issues among other topics.

  Charles Barkley, HOF
Getting old with Dan, Charles shared his unique opinions on dropping your kids off at college (he didn't cry but was emotional), Tim Donaghy (the NBA will be okay if this is an isolated incident), and Michael Vick (we are a country of forgiveness and PETA should not rule the world).

  Jerry West, NBA HOF
The Logo is retired and ready to let the next generation run the game. West talked about becoming the face of the NBA and said the Tim Donaghy scandal is not only a problem for the league but is a "black mark" on the officials in good standing still working the games.

  Dan Marino, NFL HOF
More advice for the departing Dan on cleaning out your locker and the best way to react to the guy who replaces you.

  Michael Wilbon, PTI
Tim Donaghy in the NBA, Michael Vick and the NFL, or Pete Rose in MLB... which controversial scandal will have a longer lasting effect on their respective game? Michael talks about it.

  David Stern, Commish
NBA commissioner David Stern said former referee Tim Donaghy's guilty plea to gambling charges was expected and is the next step in the process. The best case scenario is this will serve as a wake-up call for the league not to become complacent. Stern is excited for the Celtics and wished Dan well, knowing he'll be back.

  Billy Crystal, Actor
The diehard Yankees fan shared his thoughts on the passing of Phil 'Scooter' Rizzuto and the iconic voices that shape our perception of the game. Having directed the movie '61' about Roger Maris and following the 'steroid era,' Crystal thinks Maris should be viewed as the single-season home run king.

  Wayne Gretzky, HOF
The Great One compared his Southern California campaign to the enormous task facing David Beckham. Following Barry Bonds setting a new all-time home run record, Gretzky also talked about what he went through breaking Gordie Howe's records.

  Larry Bird, Pacers
Larry Legend said he's glad the Celtics have become relevant in the NBA again with a new 'Big 3,' explained why he has not tried to bring Reggie Miller out of retirement, told us he's confident Jermaine O'Neal wants to remain a Pacer and said he never worried about NBA officials carrying grudges on to the court.

  Reggie Miller, NBA
Serenading DP with Boyz to Men, Reginald commented on Dan's future and tried to deflect any suggestions that he's already decided to sign with the Celtics.

  R. Miller/K. Garnett
What started out as a joke turned into the neighbors (and possible future teammates) calling in on speakerphone to discuss Garnett's move to Beantown, what Reginald could offer the rejuvenated franchise and Dan's "porn star" mustache in "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry."

  Rick Reilly, SI
Sharing his thoughts on Michael Vick contemplating a plea agreement, comparing the NFL futures of Vick and Pacman Jones, and taking the listeners behind the curtain of the most embarrassing moments he's experienced on this show.

  Joe Morgan, MLB
The Hall of Famer shared his memories on the life of Yankees' SS and broadcaster Phil Rizzuto, the modern Yankees shocking surge and the Hollywood-like return of Rick Ankiel.

  Reggie Jackson, HOF
Sharing his unique, personal perspective on the passing of Phil Rizzuto and commenting on how baseball play-by-play sparks the emotion we feel for the game.

  Ron Jaworski, MNF
Before making his debut as the MNF color analyst, Jaws talked about transitioning to the new job, previewed the game and said we should let the legal process work before suspending Michael Vick. Jaws will prepare for regular season games like when he played.

  Peter King, SI
Reporting from Jets camp (but unable to explain exactly how Eric Mangini lost 50 pounds in the off-season), King clarified the NFL's position on whether or not (and if so, when) they will suspend Michael Vick for violating the league's conduct policy.

  J. Coleman, Padres PxP
Having played eight years on the field and after working eight years in the booth together, Coleman shared his favorite Scooter stories. Plus, Barry Bonds says he'll play through next season before retiring. Is that the right move?

  Ernie Harwell, HOFer
Going along with our topic today of iconic voices that shaped our perception or the game, the longtime voice of the Tigers (who fills the "iconic voices" role of many... including Steve) shared his thoughts on the passing of Phil Rizzuto. Harwell, who was known for calling a game evenly, said he enjoys the "homer" calls if the announcer is being true to who they are (such as Scooter).

  Cossack & Mortensen
Roger Cossack warns this isn't the judge to upset and guilty federal convictions must serve at least 85 percent of the sentence. Chris Mortensen wonders if Vick has a future in the NFL and tells us how close the Chiefs are to getting Larry Johnson back.

  Lester Munson, Legal
ESPN.com's legal analyst said Michael Vick is facing a 'worst possible scenario' and it's time to work out a plea. He believes Vick has a better chance of apologizing and rebuilding his reputation than fighting the facts being presented against him.

  How Good Is Tiger?
Coming off the PGA Championship and with the record for "major" victories now legitimately in his sights, the guys wonder if any athlete (with the exception of Babe Ruth) ever dominated their sport so single-handedly like Tiger Woods has. This is followed by a flood of listeners arguing for Wayne Gretzky, Lance Armstrong and others.

  Peter Gammons, MLB
The Hall of Famer disagreed with Steve Phillips and talked about the teams benefiting from the surge provided by a youth movement.

  Joe Montana, NFL HOF
After attending yesterday's private service for Bill Walsh, Montana called us before the public memorial to remember his coach and share what he learned building the 49ers dynasty. Joe said Walsh is responsible for him being in the Hall of Fame.

  Pete Carroll, USC
The preseason No. 1 talked about this year's Trojans and their ability to be national contenders year after year. The consensus most popular coach grew under the Bill Walsh coaching tree. After attending the private service, Carroll shared his thoughts on the coaching legend.

  C. Johnson, Bengals
In his attempt to bring sexy back to the NFL, Ocho Cinco will challenge players publicly again leading up to each week's games. He hinted at a Barry Bonds level celebration if he scores in Week 1. The Bengals have cracked down with a midnight curfew, even on off nights.

  Les Miles, LSU
College football preview, a passion for hating red and fine pre-game cuisine with the head coach of the national title contending LSU Tigers.

  Charlie Weis, N. Dame
Always facing high expectations, the Fighting Irish refuse to use the word "rebuilding" as an excuse. Coach explained the higher number of younger players allows him to coach more and the college game still allows him more of a family life than in the NFL.

  C. Peterson, Boise St.
It seems like the Broncos came out of nowhere, but the 2006 Coach of the Year said this has been part of a long building process. Peterson said there are no plans to move to a "major" conference (but always rumors). He talked about maintaining the momentum off last year's Fiesta Bowl victory and explained why the trick plays are part of their game and won't be going away.

  Herm Edwards, Chiefs
While promoting the NFL's attempts to keep players hydrated, Edwards updated his battle for the starting QB, said Priest Holmes is trying to get himself in "football shape" (and the team would welcome his return) and Larry Johnson is ready to go but needs to show up.

  Mike Bacsik, Jr./Sr.
The father and son team talked about Barry Bonds' 756th home run. Junior said he never thought he'd feel so important after giving up a home run. But his family is proud of him for challenging Bonds. Dad said he's definitely more nervous watching his son than he was when he pitched to Hank Aaron. Father and son took playful jabs at each other. Dad told junior to keep challenging hitters and be a good pro.

  J. Miller, KNBR/ESPN
The radio voice of the Giants and ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball voice took us through a special moment in baseball history and painted the picture of the celebration at AT&T Park last night.

  Rex Grossman, Bears
Leading his team to the Super Bowl wasn't enough for fans last year, so Grossman talked about what he learned, how he can build on that in his attempts to win a Super Bowl, Greg Olsen's impact and his thoughts watching Barry Bonds hit No. 756.

  Jim Nantz, CBS
Before sliding into the lead chair at the PGA Championship, Nantz provided instant analysis on the first round and shared his thoughts on what to expect over the weekend.

  Michael Wilbon, PTI
Wilbon is fighting of Beckham-mania (the LA Galaxy are in town to face DC United tonight on ESPN2 but still no word on how much Beckham will play) and he took the time to chime in on Barry Bonds passing Henry Aaron as the home run king.

  Frank Beamer, Va Tech
A season of high expectations coming off the tragic shootings on campus earlier this year. Coach talked about the school's desire to "be together," commented on the charges now facing Michael Vick (he's talked to Vick's mother and says Michael can always call him) and even talked about Barry Bonds hitting No. 756.

  Bobby Bowden, FSU
As we recognize Barry Bonds as the all-time home run king, we called on the man who could end up the all-time winningest coach in college football. Bowden talked about the Seminoles rebuilding and why he keeps coming back year after year.

  David Feherty, CBS
Feherty shares his very unique views on performance enhancing substances and the upcoming PGA Championship.

  Joe Morgan, MLB HOF
The Hall of Famer shared why he views Barry Bonds as joining Henry Aaron rather than overtaking him and said we need to recognize a special time in the game as special milestones are set or surpassed.

  Bob Costas, NBC/HBO
Counting down to 08/08/08 and the Summer Games in Beijing, Costas said he is convinced Barry Bonds used enormous amounts of performance enhancing drugs but adds that he is watching every night and would still vote for him as a Hall of Famer for what he accomplished in his entire career.

  Todd Jones, Tigers
The always outspoken closer talked about the tight pennant race as they're in a fight with the Indians and Yankees. He also talked about Barry Bonds chasing the all-time home run record (including steroid allegations, who deserves to "own" the milestone ball and Bonds' place in history).

  Michael Smith, ESPN
On the heels of Brady Quinn finally getting a deal done with the Browns, Smith called in from 49ers training camp with the latest NFL preseason news and notes.

  Buster Olney, MLB
In studio to put Tom Glavine's 300 victories into historical perspective (Olney believes Glavine will be the last), explaining that the Barry Bonds backlash is mellowing and debating over the greatest mustache in sports.

  Erin Andrews, ESPN
Working the sidelines for The Bonds Watch circus, Andrews compared the media coverage to the swarm that usually follows the Yankees... not overwhelming on it's own, but much more than most teams face day in and day out.

  Paul Azinger, PGA
Sharing the unique tale of how his boat ruined his back and talking with Mike & Scott about how Tiger Woods' performance this weekend will carry into the upcoming PGA Championship.

  Rachel Nichols, ESPN
Reporting from NY Giants training camp, Nichols said people are starting to believe that Michael Strahan is considering retirement and not just negotiating for a better deal. Plus, more of your emails on whether or not to watch Bonds chase Aaron.

  Ray Allen, Celtics G
Ray believes he is in a great position in Boston. Seattle was focused on making the playoffs but Boston is trying hard to win championship. The Celtics legacy has tons of history and rich tradition. He think KG, Pierce and himself have a chance at HOF.

  Jim Kelly, NFL HOFer
The former Bills' QB called in to talk about this weekend's HOF festivities in Canton. Kelly is excited that Thurman Thomas is getting inducted after not making it the first time. Who else belongs in? We take your calls.

  Billy Beane, A's GM
The trade deadline has passed and with frustrating injuries, Oakland hasn't been able to reach its potential. The most successful organizations use what they have to their advantage quantitatively and subjectively. Billy thinks the AL is tough. Don't count out the Central.

  Mark Schlereth, NFL
Who should be in the NFL Hall of Fame? You can't quantify those football players on the OL or tackles, you have to talk to those individuals who went up against them, he says. We replay Billy Beane's positive comments about Mark's son, Daniel, an 8th round pick.

  Tim Kurkjian, MLB
More talk on A-Rod not capable of delivering under pressure. Plus, the Braves picking up the best player available with Mark Teixeira gives them a chance to win. Eric Gagne going to the Red Sox gives Boston the best bullpen in major leagues.

  Buster Olney, MLB
With the Cubs now leading the NL Central, Buster believes that they have a huge advantage over the Brewers. With Carlos Zambrano's stellar pitching record for the Cubs and the Brewers having such a young lineup, the two teams are moving in opposite directions.

  Bob Ryan, Boston
Bob believes that there isn't another team in the league that would trade their 4th through 12th man for Boston's. The Celtics are not talented defensively and have a lot of holes to fill on their roster.

  Chris Mortensen, NFL
Mort gives us the latest on Michael Vick and tells us why Norv Turner is the coach with the most pressure on him, what life will be like this season for Randy Moss and the Patriots, why the Rams are this years surprise team, and why he has the Patriots and Saints in the Super Bowl.

  Jerry Crasnick, MLB
Jerry takes us inside the Eric Gagne trade, and says at this point, the Sox and Gagne are crossing the t's and dotting the i's to get the closer to Boston. Even with the Braves adding Octavio Dotel and Mark Teixeira, Jerry still likes the Mets in the NL East.

  Bill Walsh Passes
When you think of Bill Walsh, you think of an innovator with the West Coast offense while with the 49ers and at Stanford. Former head coach and coordinator Denny Green said Walsh was fair and allowed his coaches to develop. Walsh was strong, had a great sense of humor, was able to find talent and work his players smartly.

  Mike Ditka/S. Young
Ditka was taken by surprise with Bill Walsh's passing. The former Bears Hall of Fame coach said Walsh handled the 49ers job with respect and dignity. He was a great example for what NFL coaches should be. Walsh was great to compete against. Former 49ers QB Steve Young saw Walsh two weeks ago and called him the most important person in the game the last 25 years.

  Ken Rosenthal, FOX
The guys debate Barry Bonds' image in baseball and whether the treatment he receives is fair. As for the trade deadline, Ken thinks the Red Sox picking up Eric Gagne is a huge move. An equally big move was the Yankees not doing much and thinking of the future, not just this season.

Mortensen: Bad Russell situation; Giants are right
Mort takes us through the contract status of the first round holdouts and says it's ridiculous the Raiders don't have JaMarcus Russell signed yet. Mort also understands why the Giants aren't budging with Michael Strahan after the Tiki Barber circus last year.

  Steve Phillips, MLB
Mark Teixeira heading to Atlanta is a huge move for the Braves and forces other NL East team to react. Like it or not, Jose Canseco is one of the more credible people talking about steroids. Steve wonders if the pressure following this will finally crack A-Rod. Steve also compared Tony Gwynn and Cal Ripken Jr as players, giving Gwynn the edge.

  Dan Reeves, NFL
Having spent three seasons with Michael Vick, Coach Reeves says this controversy brings shame and he's sorry to see it happen to such an amazing talent. Coach told us about the Vick he knew and why Vick's playing days in the NFL are not over.

  Vic Carucci, NFL.com
The Michael Vick story is the worst possible news for the NFL right now. We should be talking about teams starting training camp, not watching one the leagues superstars walk into court. Plus, who's in camp, who's holding out, and who has a new contract.

  Darren Rovell, CNBC
With Nike and Reebok distancing themselves from Michael Vick, and even the NFL pulling his products, CNBC's Sports Business reporter told us about the future of Mike Vick's endorsement potential, and if he can rebound from this scandal.

  Buster Olney, MLB
Will the coverage of Barry Bonds' every move until he breaks the home run record overshadow this weekend's festivities in Cooperstown? Buster also gives us the latest rumors as the trade deadline approaches.

  J. Lyons, Movie Critic
To lighten the mood after a rough week, Jeffrey previews movies coming out this week, including the Simpsons, which he loved. Looking back, it's amazing how many sports stars have made cameos on the Simpsons and how memorable the parts were.

  Peter Gammons, MLB
Peter discusses the self-serving words of Curt Schilling and Barry Bonds and this weekend's Hall of Fame ceremony. Plus, he explains why we don't know whether or not Barry Bonds will ever make it to Cooperstown.

  Dan Abrams, MSNBC
Using his experiences, Dan took us through what Michael Vick is facing today, explained why famed attorney Billy Martin was a wise choice for representation and told us why the choice of Martin shows that Vick intends to take this to trial.

  Sports Will Recover
A dark cloud seems to be hovering over the sports world lately but this is not the end of sports as we know it. Whether it's dog fighting, steroids, or officials fixing games, the leagues will bounce back from these negatives, and sports will continue to flourish.

  Patrick Arnold, Chemist
Former BALCO consultant Patrick Arnold talked about his close work with Victor Conte, addressed THG, the Clear drug which he created, being on a hit list, outlined Conte's program athletes were on, gave his informed opinion that Barry Bonds was on the program, and said it's very difficult for testers to keep up with new drugs and molecules.

  Commissioner's Outlook
With so many sports in crisis right now, they guys wonder what commissioner is in the best shape right now.

  Ozzie Smith, HOFer
Ozzie's sick of the home run record/Barry Bonds/steroid talk but thinks purity of the game has been tainted. You have to question people putting up monster numbers. Ozzie also looked at how the game has changed and commented on the great shortstops today.

  Jalen Rose, NBA
He doesn't believe steroids are used by basketball players, and Jalen blames sports becoming such a big business for the increase in the use of performance enhancing drugs. Jalen also commented on the Tim Donaghy controversy and lasting impact on the league.

  Mike Mathis, NBA
Tim Donaghy has personality issues, but Mike liked being on the court with him because he wasn't afraid to make the big call, superstar or not. Mike also questioned some of the NBA's hiring practices, and hopes this is just an isolated incident as more names could be devastating for the game.

  Charles Barkley, NBA
In the sixteen years he was in the NBA and the five years he's been a commentator on television, Charles never suspected anyone of throwing a game. Charles thinks David Stern is the best commissioner in sports, and hopes this is just an isolated incident.

  Tim Legler, NBA
Tim gave us the ex-player perspective on Tim Donaghy and spoke about the lasting impact of this investigation on the NBA. Tim said this is much more damaging that anything he has seen, including the ugly incident in Detroit a few years ago.

  Larry Bowa, Yankees
The former Baseball Tonight analyst spoke about the Yankees upswing, their tough upcoming schedule, and the future of Joe Torre.

  Chris Mortensen, NFL
Mort believes Roger Goodell intervened so Arthur Blank didn't have to suspend Michael Vick, which would've made this situation even more messy. He wouldn't be surprised if Goodell suspends Vick after the independent investigation wraps up. Mort also gives Vick virtually no chance of playing football this year.

  Donaghy/Vick Talk
Tim Donaghy is the pariah of the NBA and no one seems to be pleading for the court of public opinion to slow down on his investigation. And why are folks so quick to defend Michael Vick's status for this season following his federal indictment?

  D. Mason, Bucks
Why did Desmond Mason return to the team that traded him away? Simply put, the Bucks offered him the most money. As for the recent NBA scandal involving a crooked official, Mason was 'shocked' to hear the news.

  Jayson Stark, MLB
We rumbled and grumbled about the Yankees scoring like a football team, Barry Bonds creeping closer to the all-time homerun record and the true value of Andruw Jones.

  R. Lerner, Golf Channel
After dominating three rounds, Sergio Garcia crumbled on Sunday, but Rich Lerner said the worst part may have been when Garcia's ugly-side made an appearance in the post press conference.

  Joe Horn, Falcons
The wide receiver thinks Mike Vick should be allowed to stay with the team, says the media has already convicted Vick without letting the process play itself out, believes dog fighting should be illegal and is saddened by what's going on. Horn keeps in contact with Vick on a daily basis.

  Phil Rogers, C. Tribune
After Bonds hit two more homers Thursday at Wrigley on his way to the Commissioner's home town to play the Brewers, Rogers says Bud Selig is in a lose-lose situation and will be criticized whether or not he attends Bonds record-setting home run game.

  R. Ratto, SF Chronicle
As we inch closer and closer to Barry Bonds breaking the all-time home run record, Ratto asks how Barry will react after he breaks the record and people stop talking about him.

  Mark Bradley, Atl. J-C
If Michael Vick reports to court and posts bond, why shouldn't he be allowed to play football? Bradley said it would be unfair to Vick, his Falcons teammates and the fans to suspended him and prevent him from "making a living."

  Tony Dungy, Colts
Kicking off a 10-day national book tour today for his memoir, "Quiet Strength: The Principles, Practices, & Priorities of a Winning Life," Dungy talked about using his beliefs and quiet nature in a unique coaching style that led to a Super Bowl Championship. He also talked about 'almost' going fishing last year with Vick and how he'd handle that.

  Peter Gammons, MLB
Peter shares his thoughts on Gary Sheffield going a little too far again, the Yankees resurgence and the battle for the NL Central.

  Steve Wyche, Atlanta
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution writer shares the local spin on the Michael Vick saga. Wyche says this is unfortunately falling along racial lines and will be a distraction for the Falcons.

  Peter King, SI
King said Vick has been on the decline and was already facing a pivotal season, so don't expect the Falcons franchise to go down with No. 7 if he continues to struggle on and off the field.

  John Kruk, MLB
Kruk thinks Roger Goodell needs to do something following the Michael Vick indictment. If found guilty, Vick should be out of football. This is worse than anything Kruk has seen with teammates. And why is Barry Bonds out of the starting lineup again?

  Buster Olney, MLB
Unfortunately, two bitter ex-Yankees may have tagged Joe Torre a racist whether or not it's true. Plus, Ken Griffey Jr. continues to climb the all-time home run list and Brad Lidge may be the big prize at the trading deadline.

  Darryl Strawberry, MLB
Darryl, who is friends with Gary Sheffield, said he never personally experienced any racism on the Yankees, specifically from Joe Torre. Strawberry called Torre a class act who cared for him as a person. He feels bad for Torre having to defend himself. This year's team lacks the swagger of Yankees team he was on.

  David Feherty, CBS
David helps us preview The Open Championship. Without hesitation, Feherty takes Tiger Woods over the field.

  Mark Schlereth, NFL
Mark was in studio sharing his take on hats, why players are treated differently in the locker room and the NFL over/unders.

  Scott Boras, Agent
Super agent Scott Boras is concerned with the amount of pitches Daisuke Matsuzaka is throwing given the history of Japanese pitchers and their durability. Boras thinks negotiating a contract during the season is a distraction. He says Alex Rodriguez will have choices but he likes being a Yankee. His present contract can earn him as much as $32M.

  Tim Kurkjian, MLB
Tim talked about Gary Sheffield's questionable claims, the pressures mounting on Barry Bonds as he approaches the all-time home run record, the red hot Cubs (and if Mark Cuban really has a shot to own them) and the latest trade deadline rumors.

  Tim Tebow, Gators
After such an amazing freshman year, Tim told us about the pressure he is facing this season now that he is in the drivers seat of the Gators offense, especially with the football team trading national championships with the basketball team.

  Kirk Herbstreit, CFB
Kirk spoke about the challenge Florida faces this year following their championship season. He also said USC is loaded, which is one reason the PAC-10 is going to be one of the toughest conferences in football. We also got a preview of EA Sports NCAA '08, featuring the voice of one Kirk Herbstreit.

  Tim Kurkjian, MLB
Tim says putting an asterisk next to Barry Bonds' numbers is a tricky situation, Mark Cuban would be breath of fresh air for baseball and A-Rod has the Yankees right where he wants them. He could possibly command up to $40 million a season in his next contract.

  Will Leitch, Deadspin
He's the king of the sports blogging world, and Will told us why blogs have become such a popular medium. Will also explained why ESPN has become a favorite target of the blogosphere and commented on what he believes is out of bounds as far as coverage in the news/blog world.

  David Wright, Mets
David said that he enjoyed the All-Star Game more this year than last year, because he wasn't nervous. He was so excited to see Barry Bonds and even went up to him and got an autograph.

  Peter Gammons, MLB
Peter said that the most interesting stories to look for during the second half of the baseball season are A-Rod's contract situation and Barry Bonds' record chase.

  Mike Vrabel, Patriots
Mike said that Columbus is the best college sports town, hands down. Everything there is bigger and they have the best stadiums.

  Dick Vitale, ESPN
It's an annual tradition. Dicky V. calls in to boost up his experience and share special stories in the battle against cancer.

  Mike Krzyzewski, Duke
Coach K. has been there since the beginning of the V Foundation and is still an integral part. He shared his stories, how Jimmy V. was a great friend and coach, and even gave us a quick update on Team USA.

  Curt Schilling, Red Sox
Helping us announce our Red Sox experience, Schilling talked about the need to raise awareness, shared how cancer has effected his family and updated his condition as he tries to get off the DL.

  L. Lucchino, Red Sox
A two-time cancer survivor, Lucchino discussed the importance of working together in the battle against cancer and upgraded our Red Sox experience.

  Ron Jaworski, NFL
The newest member of the MNF booth took listeners inside what they could win if they are the top bidder in today's auction.

  Bobby Murcer, Yanks
Bobby, a Yankee legend, shares his story as he battles cancer so that we can continue to raise money and awareness.

  Donna Orender, WNBA
Surprising Bobby and herself with a $37,500 donation on behalf of the WNBA and NBA. Plus, we listen to a portion of Jim Valvano's famous ESPY speech.

  Rick Reilly, SI
Rick joins us to give Dan some career advice, rip Barry Bonds for not participating in last night's Home Run Derby, weigh in on the Mitchell investigation and to offer up his friend George Clooney as a guest during Dan's last week.

  Joe Morgan, MLB
Joe says Alex Rodriguez will end up in Anaheim next year because of a relaxed west coast mentality, thus ruling out Boston as a destination. Joe says A-Rod needs to be a "big fish in a small pond" and sees Orlando Cabrera getting moved elsewhere to make room at shortstop.

  Roy Firestone
The former ESPN studio host joins us on set to put Dan's career at ESPN into perspective. Dan shares some of the great experiences he's had at the worldwide leader and Roy wishes him the best in his future ventures.

  Adam Sandler, Actor
Adam previews his new movie "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry", in which Dan has his usual role where he's outfitted with a mustache. Adam promises that you'll see as much of Jessica Biel as possible and talks at length about his grandmother's crush on Bob Barker.

  Big Announcement
Dan will be leaving ESPN after 18 years. His last day will be August 17th. Dan thinks it's time for him to move on as a free agent. Dodgers' catcher Russell Martin is thrilled to be a first-time All-Star. It's been a surreal experience for him. Russell explains communicating with foreign pitchers and insists he didn't vote for himself.

  B. Selig, MLB Commish
Selig hasn't given any thought to President Bush or other successors since he has two and a half years left as Commissioner. He doesn't think a neutral site or nine-game World Series would work. Aside from work out techniques, Selig says diluted pitching in the expansion era also contributed to an increase in home runs. He's happy with today's testing system. Amphetamines may be a bigger issue than steroids.

  Bud Selig, 2
Selig doesn't think the Mitchell Investigation is violating any personal rights. He's glad Giambi is cooperating and hopes to bring an end to the steroids questions soon. Selig wasn't forthcoming about if he'll attend when Barry Bonds breaks the home run record. He wouldn't comment on Hank Aaron's feelings or Bonds skipping the Home Run Derby. Selig is looking forward to the Derby and All-Star Game.

  Jake Peavy, Padres
Minutes after being named the All-Star Game starter, Peavy said he's looking forward to the Home Run Derby and facing A-Rod for the first time Tuesday night. Dan and Keith debate what Bud Selig is really saying when he "declines to comment" about attending the game where Barry Bonds breaks the home run record.

  Reggie Miller, NBA
Surprised by Dan's announcement, Miller tries to convince DP to move to Malibu. Dan admits he likes the MLB All-Star festivities more than the NBA's, which disappoints Reggie. Also, more on parties with Pamela Anderson and a Michael Jordan appearance?

  PJ Carlesimo, Sonics
PJ had a blast with the Spurs, but the opportunity to build a team in Seattle from the ground up with a young talent like Kevin Durant was too good to pass up. PJ also commented on the Sonics' future in Seattle, the Latrell Sprewell incident, and on missing Tony Parker's wedding.

  A. Stoudemire, Suns
Calling in-between classes at Arizona State, Amare doesn't pay much attention to trade rumors and isn't sure any move getting Kevin Garnett is worth disrupting the team's chemistry. He is also coming back next season with a vengeance because of the way last season ended. He said his suspension was fair.

  Tim Kurkjian, MLB
Tim wishes both Barry Bonds and Ken Griffey Jr. were in the Home Run Derby and thinks those two, along with Ryan Howard, would put on an amazing display. We also chat about Tim's new book "Is This A Great Game Or What," and reminisce about great moments in baseball's past.

  E. Holyfield, Boxer
After a classic 10-round decision over Lou Savarese on Saturday night, Evander the Real Deal told us he won't retire until he is the undisputed heavyweight champion and gave his thoughts on a tournament type system in boxing.

  Jason Sobel, ESPN
Jason says it's more impressive what Tiger did at the U.S. Open after learning his wife was in the hospital that week. Tiger's Foundation has helped resurrect golf in the D.C. area. Woods speaks his mind and means it when he says his baby is the top priority. Golf is second but that doesn't mean Tiger still can't dominate.

  Peter Gammons, MLB
Peter explains why there really isn't a secret subplot to Mike Hargrove stepping down, why Sammy Sosa is unfairly paying for the entire steroid era and how Title IX has damaged college baseball.

  Joe Morgan, MLB
Joe shares his take on who should start in the All Star game and why baseball celebrating Jackie Robinson's anniversary should be factored into the equation.

  G.Wojciechowski
Michelle Wie continues to struggle, but why do so many people take solace in her disappointing results?

  Rick Bozich, Louisville
Since we took Bozich to task last hour for ripping the fans and refusing to refer to Barry Bonds by name, we let Rick debate his stance on the soon-to-be home run king.

  John Hollinger, ESPN
The season is over, but there is plenty of action in the NBA. Hollinger updated the latest free agent news and explained how those draft day moves will impact the teams.

  Baseball Tonight Crew
Dan, Steve Phillips and Karl Ravech had a baseball roundtable breaking down the All-Star rosters and snubs, while trying to decide why Barry Bonds made it into the starting line-up (deserving? people want a show?).

  Keith Olbermann
Breaking down the All-Star voting process and trying to understand how Bonds jumped from the outside into the starting lineup.

  Reds' Next Move
Did the Reds believe they were going to turn the corner by firing a manager who was good to his players and was just extended last season? Do they have to get a manager who hates the players now?

  Reggie Miller, TNT
Sharing his thoughts on how Barry Bonds' record setting home run should be called (Reginald says you've got to use emotion and put it into significance), recapping the NBA Draft and explaining why Kobe and KG aren't going anywhere.

  Greg Oden, No. 1 Pick
Greg Oden is being welcomed in Portland with a parade. After some rest, Oden is going out to get rained on. He's excited to be joined by Josh McRoberts on the Blazers. He admitted his heart beat fast when his name was called No. 1. Joakim Noah's outfit looked good. Oden wants to face Dwight Howard.

  Kevin Durant, Sonics
Durant admitted he was very nervous and anxious on Draft day. He just wanted to make it up the stairs without tripping. Durant was shocked by the Ray Allen trade but he's looking forward to playing with three great players. Durant wants to face LeBron. That's his idol in today's game. Durant was happy for Oden, too. Now they'll play four times per season.

  Frank Thomas, Jays
To hit 500 home runs is huge with the injuries he's had. Now, he's shooting for 600. Thomas doesn't see 3,000 hits in his future with all the walks he gets. The steroid talk doesn't bother him because he knows he's been clean throughout his career. Hitting his 500th homer will put him into the Hall of Fame, he believes.

  Craig Biggio, Astros
A modest Biggio talked about his decision to try to stretch a single into a double for his 3,000th hit. He thinks he'd go into the Hall of Fame as a 2B if elected. Last night had a special feeling to it. He's not sure how he'll celebrate if he sets the hit by pitch record. Also, Biggio thinks Jeff Kent is a HOFer with his power numbers.

  Keith Olbermann
The chaos, lies and hype involved with the NBA Draft. And tonight marks the 10th anniversary of when Keith Olbermann said good-bye to Dan and SportsCenter.

  Charles Barkley, NBA
Charles doesn't think race plays a part in the Celtics struggles, they just stink. That's it. Guys want to go to places they have a legitimate chance to win, and Boston is not that place. As for the draft, if you are going to make a mistake, go big.

  Michael Wilbon, PTI
To question Greg Oden's love of the game is ridiculous. He learned to shoot free throws with his left hand! Michael thinks Kevin Durant is going to get pushed around by almost everyone in the league until he gets his strength up.

  Peter Gammons, MLB
Ken Griffey, Jr. and Frank Thomas have benefited from the steroid era because they've never been accused of anything, which makes their accomplishments all the more remarkable. Despite his record, Peter doesn't think Clemens is pitching bad, and shouldn't catch too much backlash.

  Jalen Rose, Phoenix
A huge boxing fan, Jalen looks back at Mike Tyson's career and where it went wrong. Jalen said he wouldn't give up Amare Stoudemire for Kevin Garnett if he was the GM, and thinks the Suns should keep the same team intact as they were the best team in the league, despite losing to the Spurs.

  Jay Bilas, Hoops
After a day of speculating how current NBA players could alter this year's draft, we called on The Bilastrator for his thoughts on the kids still trying to make the NBA and how they can impact the league.

  Letterman Tonight
Dan previews the David Letterman appearance tonight. Dan and Keith talk about previous appearances each have made on the show.

  Keith Olbermann
The guys relive some of there favorite Sportscenter commercials from years past. Also, it could be a sign of bad things to come, but Dan and Keith are already arguing about who sits where on the Late Show tonight.

  Trent Green, Dolphins
The last few months have been awkward for Trent, between his exit from Kansas City, to replacing Daunte Culpepper, to Jason Taylor's comments in Sports Illustrated. He says the transition has been pretty smooth, all things considered, and he's looking forward to this season.

  Reggie Miller, TNT
Reggie gives us his top 14 draft picks. He has Kevin Durant going first and Mike Conley Jr. slipping to 11th. Reggie also said the game has changed, and the big man just isn't as valuable as before. Oh, and Reggie thinks late night television has hit an all-time low.

  Rick Reilly, SI
Kobe doesn't deserve a classy guy like Kevin Garnett as a teammate. The Lakers stood by Kobe through all of his issues and now he throws them under the bus. Riles would take Kevin Durant first in the draft. Does their need to be a steroids crackdown in wrestling and other forms of entertainment?

  Mark Heisler, LA
Mark talks about why the four-team proposed deal between the Lakers, Timberwolves, Celtics and Pacers just can't work and speculates as to what the next proposed deal could be as we try to find a new home for Kevin Garnett and a future for Kobe Bryant.

  Roger Cossack, Legal
Are Pacman Jones, Tank Johnson and the other athletes being treated differently because of their celebrity status?

  Bob Nightengale
Bob has the latest MLB trade rumors on Mark Buehrle, Mark Teixeira and other All-Stars on the move.

  James Harris III
Best known as a legendary record producer and member of 'Morris Day & The Time,' Jimmy Jam is also Kevin Garnett's brother-in-law and a Lakers season ticket holder. While they have not spoken directly since the rumors started, we tried to see what type of trade talk is going around the family circle.

  Tony Parker, Spurs
Three-time NBA Champions, Finals MVP and getting married to possibly the best "Desperate Housewives"... is anyone having a better year than Tony Parker?

  John Kruk, MLB
Kruk addresses the trade rumors coming out of Chicago and explains why he's still impressed as players from the 'steroid era' surpass the game's hallowed records.

  Fran Fraschilla, NBA
The coach shared his thoughts on the NBA Draft, including why Greg Oden will likely go No. 1 to Portland, but it's not as big of a lock as we're being led to believe.

  Jayson Stark, MLB
Clarifying the latest trade rumors and reports as the market heats up following the White Sox announcement that they are looking to trade Mark Buehrle. Plus, the author of "The Stark Truth: The Most Overrated and Underrated Players in Baseball History" put the baseball milestones (Sosa's 600, Biggio chasing 3,000, Thomas approaching 500, etc) into perspective.

  Ric Bucher, NBA
Explaining why there is now "no chance" Kobe Bryant will be back with the Lakers and speculating the future for Kevin Garnett now that he's said 'no' to Boston.

  Chad Ford, NBA
The latest rumors and mocks heading into the NBA Draft and how the possible trades of Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett would play into the equation. Chad thinks Kobe will remain a Laker.

  Tim Kurkjian, MLB
Timmy doesn't believe we'll get anything new out of Jason Giambi participating in George Mitchell's investigation, but we'll see how the process plays out. Also, Miguel Tejada is basically hoping for an overnight miracle on his wrist, so chances are he's heading to the DL.

  John McEnroe, Tennis
It's a family affair as Patrick talks with John about the ESPNZone bathrooms and the Wimbledon seeds.

  Joe Girardi, YES
Joe said declining the offer to manage the Baltimore Orioles was all about timing and his family and had nothing to do with his future with the Yankees. While the timing wasn't right this time, there is no doubt in Joe's mind he wants to manage again, but he has no timetable for his return.

  Peter Gammons, MLB
Peter's disappointed for Orioles fans who had the chance to get a great manager, but understands why Girardi didn't take the job. Also, it seems steroids has completely taken hold on baseball, with Sosa's 600th HR overshadowed and Jason Giambi close to meeting with steroids investigator George Mitchell.

  Skip Bayless
Skip is not surprised Girardi turned down the Orioles because Joe is better than that, and very well could end up the Yankees skipper next year. As for Sammy Sosa, he wasn't a Hall of Famer before the steroid era, and he isn't after, regardless of how many home runs he's hit.

  Jay Mariotti, Chicago
Jay doesn't think Sammy Sosa hitting his 600th career home run is a big story because the home run has been devalued by the steroid era. He also wouldn't put anyone from that period in the Hall of Fame because there is no way to know which numbers are pure and which are tainted.

  Chris Mortensen, NFL
Mort gave us an update on Pacman Jones and Michael Vick's legal woes, and tells us why Jon Gruden may be insane.

  Scoop Jackson, NBA
With his name always in the headlines, it looks like Kobe is a drama king, but Scoop says the only thing that motivates him is winning, not attention. Scoop also wants to see Kevin Garnett traded for Dirk Nowitzki.

  David Feherty, Golf
David avoids the U.S. Open whenever possible, and believes fatherhood is only going to make Tiger Woods a better golfer. He also commented on PGA commissioner Tim Finchem calling for a drug testing policy, saying he thinks it's a good idea, but doesn't believe golf has a drug problem.

  Keith Olbermann
How does a kid commit to a college before he has even spent one day in high school? And do you have a problem with teams charging more depending on who is the visiting team?

  Tim Floyd, USC Coach
USC basketball coach Tim Floyd discussed the verbal commitment of 14-year-old phenom Ryan Boatright to his program, and the ethics of recruiting so young. Floyd says he has a commitment to recruit the top players within the guidelines. He doesn't like the process but must use it to compete.

  Michael Wilbon, PTI
Sharing his thoughts on colleges recruiting players before they attend high school, Michael is disgusted by the process and doesn't believe kids should be making the decision until midway through their junior year.

  Daniel Gibson, Cavs
'Boobie' joined us in studio to explain the strange nickname (believe it or not Mom is to blame), talked about LeBron James' nail biting habit and shared his man-crush on Chancey Billups. Gibson was first contacted in the recruiting process while in eighth grade!

  Joe Morgan, MLB
The Hall of Famer addressed speculation that baseball will keep Barry Bonds out of the All-Star festivities if he doesn't participate in the George Mitchell investigation, said Sammy Sosa is a Hall of Famer even before he hits his 600th home run and shared his thoughts on why managers haven't succeeded recently with the Baltimore Orioles.

  Sam Smith, Chicago
The author of "The Jordan Rules" says there is no realistic scenario that puts Kobe Bryant in a Bulls uniform next season.

  Chris Wallace, Memphis
The man who will replace Jerry West said not even the No. 1 pick would have kept him in Boston. He told us that no one on the Grizzlies roster is untouchable and refused to address the Kobe Bryant topic because that would be tampering.

  Jimmy Roberts, Golf
To say smoking on the course is cheating is a bit of a stretch, but Jimmy could see why people would make that argument. Either way, Angel Cabrera beat Tiger Woods and showed just how deep the PGA is. Jimmy also said Tiger has lightened up a bit compared to when he was younger but is still extremely hard on himself.

  Charles Barkley, NBA
Charles doesn't consider most golfers athletes, although clearly Tiger Woods is. There is no doubt that Angel Cabrera beat Tiger and should have beaten him by four or five strokes. Charles adds Kobe needs a hobby as he clearly has too much time on his hands for interviews and blogging.

  Buster Olney, MLB
Buster confirms manager Sam Perlozzo has been fired by the Orioles. Also, why is Bud Selig forcing Jason Giambi to cooperate with the Mitchell investigation but not Barry Bonds? Is it possible the Commissioner is using Giambi to set a precedent to then use on Bonds, suspending him before he can break the home run record?

  Andy Katz, NBA Draft
With Oden and Durant going one-two, Andy says the draft really starts at No. 3 with Atlanta, who could go in one of four directions. Andy doesn't see how Oden and Mike Conley Jr could end up on the same team and can't see Kobe's trade wishes playing a part in the draft either.

  Robert Horry, Spurs
The seven-time NBA champ said the latest title will hit him during the team's parade this weekend. He says if the Spurs win back-to-back next year and make it five titles in 10 years, then they'll be a dynasty. Horry says Duncan is a better big man than Shaq. Manu is very crafty. Horry doesn't consider himself a Hall of Famer and he's happy for Michael Finley, who is loving the moment.

  Will Perdue, NBA
Will told us why the Spurs aren't a dynasty yet, and how this Spurs team compares to the Bulls' dynasty he was a part of.

  Mark Jackson, NBA
Mark is furious with Dan, calling him 'Sammy the Bull,' because Dan let some off-air comments Mark made regarding great centers and Patrick Ewing slip on-air. Mark also thinks the Spurs would trade Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker for Kobe Bryant in a heartbeat.

  Andy North, U.S. Open
The game isn't about the score; it's about identifying the best players, which is exactly what Oakmont is doing. Andy and Dan debate what constitutes great golf -- a low score or a challenging course?

  Keith Olbermann
Bud Selig is openly campaigning for George W. Bush to replace him as MLB Commissioner and KO would gladly take the swap. Politics aside, Keith says President Bush was considered to be a pretty good owner when he was in charge of the Rangers but thinks a move like this would cause too much controversy.

  David Stern, 2
Commissioner doesn't think re-seeding Nos. 1-16 regardless of conference affiliation in the playoffs would require a fundamental change, however re-seeding within the conference could be considered. And he talked about the NBA Draft Lottery system.

  David Stern, Commish
Joining Dan at the Rock & Roll HOF, Stern agrees NBA Finals ratings haven't been good. He thinks the Spurs are a great team, however the media loves individual stars, such as LeBron. Stern thinks his sport will be fine despite wanting higher ratings. People have many outlets for their information so they can get what they want, when they want.

  Michael Wilbon, PTI
Michael Wilbon joins Dan to talk about the TV ratings problem the NBA Finals are having. Dan and Michael brainstorm possible solutions for the league.

  Peter Gammons, MLB
Peter Gammons talked about some one-hit-wonders in sports. Plus, he says Bud Selig is doing what he has to do with Jason Giambi. He doesn't think the commissioner will get anywhere with it but he has to try. Peter also talked about trade possibilities.

  Justin Verlander
A day after his no-hitter, the Tigers' pitcher feels sore but extremely happy. He's not sure what he's going to give the Hall of Fame yet. After not feeling well in warm-ups, Verlander felt great in the first inning. Adrenaline and excitement helped him hit 102 mph in the 9th. If Dan was Tony LaRussa, Barry Bonds would be an All-Star.

  Tommy Morrison
The former boxing champ tells us he's had his blood tested at a specialty lab and that his former agent Randy is crazy. Tommy states that he's passed several blood tests and in a few weeks they will put it to rest. He did state that he no longer has Hepatitis C and is not HIV positive.

  Larry Holmes
Larry Holmes calls in to dispute what Tommy Morrison shared with Dan earlier. Larry wants Tommy to go out and find a job so he can help find a cure for HIV. He sends Tommy a message that he needs to give it up and not risk infecting others with HIV.

  Danny Ferry, Cavs GM
Ferry believes the Cavs competed last night and hopes to go from there and build on that as the series continues. The Cavs had a positive, progressive year, building a culture and an identity of defense and winning and being one of the elite teams in the NBA.

  Jon Barry, NBA
Barry thinks LeBron should shoot more instead of passing it up. He's the superstar and has to take over. The Spurs are a dynasty. They've been the best NBA team for a decade. Jon gave his brother Brent a shooting tip before Game 3. Brent then hit three 3's.

  Brent Barry, Spurs G
Brent calls in to discuss how Jon's tip helped and how the fans of Cleveland showered Jon with debris at the broadcast position for doing so. The guys also preview Tony and Eva's wedding.

  Grant Hill, NBA
The Cavs should have won Game 3. Also, even though he won't complain, Tim Duncan believes he should be marketed for his team first attitude and selflessness. What LeBron has done with Cleveland is remarkable. Grant wants to win a title.

  Jeff Van Gundy, NBA
This or that? Jeff and Jon would take Tracy McGrady over LeBron James right now. Jeff would take Ewing over Hakeem. Jon would take Hakeem. Jeff thinks Stockton was the best point guard; he could run the Suns offense as well as Steve Nash.

  Reggie Miller, NBA
The Spurs and Cavs may not have the star history like the Lakers because they are small market teams without superstars, even with Lebron James and Tony Parker. Tonight Cleveland can win if they come out with better energy for a full 48 minutes.

  Joe Morgan, MLB
Joe tells us that the Mets have something to prove in the series against the Yankees. Regardless of the sport, a team's image is so difficult to sell now due to the internet and the amount of information that is available to people. Joe believes that the commissioner will be there when Bonds breaks Hank Aaron's record.

  Rick Reilly, SI
Rick shares some stories including one regarding Miss Universe and Derek Jeter. Plus, his thoughts on John Daly's recent drama, the Bonds countdown, and Michelle Wie's struggles.

  Jalen Rose, Suns
Jalen would have liked to see LeBron guard Bruce Bowen to help his foul troubles instead of coming out of the game in the first quarter. The most overlooked stat of the year: Tony Parker led the NBA in points in the paint, not Shaq, not Dwight Howard, not LeBron, not DWade.

  Will Perdue, NBA
Mike Brown had no choice but to take LeBron out after picking up his second foul. Will thinks LeBron needs to play smarter, be more aggressive, score more and score early to give the Cavs a chance. One of Will's top stories of the last 25 years, Barbaro.

  Buster Olney, MLB
Buster hated the ending of the Sopranos, says the Yankees are far from dead now that their offense is clicking, and weighs in on the the return of Roger Clemens and the Top 25 stories of the last 25 years from USA Today.

  Top 25 Of Last 25
USA Today put together a list of the Top 25 sports stories of the past 25 years, and Doug has major issues with it.

  Mark Jackson, NBA
Mark was impressed with both San Antonio and Cleveland. The Cavs will need to execute flawlessly in Game 2 to win. San Antonio is fun to watch aside from being fundamentally sound. Did Mark and Eva Longoria share a "special moment" last night? Dan applies the full-court press.

  Mike Tirico, ESPN
Regardless of how the Cavs do, Cleveland is behind the team long-term and understands as LeBron matures, the team will return to the Finals with a better shot to win. Also, Mike is calling The U.S. Open next weekend. He compares Jordan and Tiger.

  Steve Kerr, Suns GM
Kerr says he's not trading Steve Nash any time soon, is focusing on the upcoming draft and trying to make sure Phoenix stays on track to win a title soon. Dan says the Spurs, like the Patriots, go out of their way to be bland. And Paris Hilton is dragged back to jail.

  Keith Olbermann
You need a big market team to draw ratings success in the NBA Finals. We only want to watch players/teams we're familiar with. The low NBA/MLB/NHL ratings also proves just how far ahead of the curve the NFL and NCAA are when it comes to TV marketing and packaging their sports.

  Kelly Naqi, ESPN
Kelly says the state dog fighting laws are changing as we speak and many are asking whether this is about stopping the act of dog fighting or convicting Michael Vick. The Boys and Girls Clubs just pulled Alex Rodriguez's spot because of image issues.

  Billy Donovan, Gators
Donovan reflected on an emotional 4-5 days by admitting he made a mistake. While he was ready for the next challenge, he realized later that his heart wasn't into it. A bigger mistake might have been to stay with Orlando and not give his full effort. He has no problem with the five-year no NBA clause because he expects to remain at Florida long-term.

  Trevor Hoffman, Padres
Trevor Hoffman discusses what his 500 saves mean to him and how that worm tasted that he ate while in the minors.

  Peter Gammons, MLB
Peter weighs in on why he thinks Pedro Martinez is one of the best pitchers of the modern era. He also sheds some light on the Jason Giambi threats and why Bud Selig had to lay this law down for the sake of the game.

  Michael Wilbon, PTI
Wilbon hasn't talked to anyone who's picking the Cavs besides Greg Anthony, but even he isn't even saying they can win. LeBron has to have an A+ series for the Cavs to win, while Duncan can have a series full of B games. Plus, Wilbon's take on Paris Hilton and Billy Donovan.

  Tim Legler, NBA
This is a different Spurs team than Cleveland saw during the regular season. Cleveland needs to camp out at Manu Ginobili's left hand. If he gets into the paint, he's going to cause a lot of problems.

  Jay Bilas, CBB
Billy Donovan is a great guy and a good coach, but this was a very unprofessional move by him. He should have thought about things up front. It's acceptable to change your mind. But what if it were the other way around and the Magic wanted out of this?

  Jessica Alba
The Fantastic 4 star picks her NBA 5. She wants Shaq, LeBron, Kobe, Dwyane Wade and her favorite, Baron Davis. Co-star Michael Chiklis also came on to talk about their new movie.

  Rick Reilly, SI
From Tom Brady to LeBron, Rick is live in Bristol and he's talking everything from politics to prescription pills and he can't stand the Spurs. LeBron is the Justin Timberlake of the Cavs just like N'Sync was nothing without JT. Plus, thoughts on Sheffield and O.J.

  Will Perdue, NBA
With Tim Duncan healthy for the first time in years, and all the holes the Cavs have to fill regardless of LeBron James, Will predicts the Spurs to win the NBA Finals in five games.

  Mike Ditka, NFL HOFer
The players of today are not the makers of the game; they're the keepers of the game. Guys in the past were asked to play hard and play hurt and are suffering as a result.

  Andy Katz, CBB
Dan goes over the Billy Donovan situation with the Orlando Magic. There had been reports that Billy was trying to negotiate a non-compete clause down to less than the five years stated in the contract. Andy Katz called in to set the record straight.

  Joe Morgan, MLB
Joe Morgan discusses the recent comments made by Gary Sheffield. He thinks that Gary meant that Latino players are easier for management to handle financially. Gary didn't say that, but that's what Joe thinks he meant.

  Troy Aikman, NFL
Troy is glad that Roger Goodell is cracking down on player misconduct, but thinks that it is a slippery slope. Some players could end up being completely innocent and still have served suspensions.

  Keith Olbermann
Dan and Keith discuss the inflammatory comments made by Gary Sheffield.

  Joe Montana, NFL
Joe talked about the media coverage of NFL players and the NFL's conduct policy. He likened it to parenting. Sometimes you have to punish your kids to let them know you are serious. Roger Goodell wants players to know he's serious. Plus, he recommends that Brady Quinn try to avoid a holdout.

  Bobby Cremins, C of C
Cremins, a member of the coaching "flip-flop" club (Georgia Tech/ South Carolina/ Georgia Tech and taking the Charleston job when they had a coach flip on them), took us through what Billy Donovan is facing and talked about how other members of the club (Steve Spurrier) have tried to help.

  Tim McClelland, Umpire
With 25-plus years as a MLB umpire, McClelland took us through the process of manager's arguing calls on the field and shared some of his favorite arguments (good and bad).

  Reggie Miller, TNT
Reginald talked about LeBron James' chances in the NBA Finals, shared his thoughts on Billy Donovan's flip-flop and explained the differences between a basketball head coach and a baseball manager arguing calls.
